Welcome to SCC Youth, a ministry of the Slavic Christian Center, a member church of the United States Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Church. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, registering for events, making purchases, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing your phone number and name.

You are responsible for:

Providing accurate and complete information
Maintaining the security of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. User Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

Use our services only for lawful purposes
Respect other users and maintain appropriate conduct
Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Not submit false or misleading information
Not use our services to harass, abuse, or harm others
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Event Registration & Payments

When registering for events:

Registration is subject to availability and may close at any time
Payment is required at the time of registration for paid events
All payments are processed securely through Stripe
Prices are displayed in US dollars unless otherwise specified

Refunds & Cancellations: Refund policies vary by event and will be specified on the event registration page. Generally, refunds may be available if requested before the event date. Contact us for specific inquiries about refunds.

5. Merchandise Purchases

When purchasing merchandise:

All sales are final unless the item is defective or incorrect
Shipping times and costs will be displayed at checkout
You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information
We are not responsible for packages lost due to incorrect addresses

For issues with your order, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item.

6. Communications Consent

By creating an account or registering for events, you consent to receive:

Transactional emails (order confirmations, booking confirmations, event reminders)
Important service announcements and updates
Responses to your inquiries and contact form submissions

SMS Program Description: SCC Youth sends only one-time passwords (OTP) via SMS for the purpose of account verification and login. No marketing, promotional, or operational alert messages are sent.

Opt-In: By providing your phone number and consenting during account registration, you agree to receive OTP verification codes via SMS from SCC Youth at the phone number provided.

Message Frequency & Rates: Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation: "You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe."

Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance. You will receive: "Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg & Data Rates May Apply."

Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is the property of SCC Youth or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. While we strive to provide accurate information, we make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of content on our website.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCC Youth and its affiliates, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims arising from these terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SCC Youth, its affiliates, officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Pierce County, Washington.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
